Arbitration

When conducting arbitration at the World Arbitration Centre, the parties may agree the arbitral tribunal to apply the "Rule on Efficient Conduct of Proceedings in International Arbitration” (the Prague Rules) adopted in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic in 2018. The Prague Rules were drafted by a working group composed of representatives from 30 countries (mainly civil law countries). Based on the tradition of civil law countries' inquisitorial procedures, the Prague Rules contain useful provisions on the rules of evidence, cross-examination, evidence review and examination, and the active roles played by arbitral tribunals on international arbitration.
