Arbitrator

The World Arbitration Centre maintains a Panel of Arbitrators. Arbitrators are professionals who have more than ten years of work experience and a good reputation in the fields of law, commerce, construction, finance, insurance, shipping, labor, intellectual property, new technology, etc. and listed by the World Arbitration Centre after review and examination. The arbitrators listed in the Panel of Arbitrators of the World Arbitration Centre shall abide by the principles of independence and impartiality, the arbitration rules and ethical rules of arbitrators promulgated by the World Arbitration Centre, and other applicable arbitration laws and regulations.

According to Article 29 of the Arbitration Rules of the World Arbitration Centre, the parties may select arbitrators within from or outside the Panel of Arbitrators, but the Chairman of the Centre shall appoint arbitrators from the Panel of Arbitrators. If a party proposes a candidate arbitrator outside of the Panel of  Arbitrators, the candidate may serve as an arbitrator of the case only after being confirmed by the Chairman of the Centre.
