About Center

The World Arbitration Centre is operated by the World Arbitration Centre Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong. The board of directors of the World Arbitration Center Limited consists of a chairman and several directors. The World Arbitration Center Limited provides funds and other logistical support for the operation of the World Arbitration Center, but does not interfere in the arbitration affairs which are independently conducted by the World Arbitration Center.

The World Arbitration Center has a chairman, a secretary general and several deputy secretary-generals. According to the arbitration rules formulated by the Center, the Chairman of the Center performs its duties in terms of appointment, confirmation, replacement of arbitrators and decision-making on challenge of arbitrators. The Secretary-General is responsible for leading the Secretariat for daily work of the Centre, and the Deputy Secretary-General assists the Secretary General. The World Arbitration Center administres the arbitration proceedings and does not interfere with the independent decision-making power of arbitrators and arbitral tribunals. The arbitrators and arbitral tribunals appointed or selected in accordance with the arbitration rules are responsible for the hearing, examination and adjudication of specific cases.
