Arbitration

The World Arbitration Center (WAC) may provide procedure management services for specific arbitration cases in accordance with the World Arbitration Center Arbitration Rules (effective as from 1 January 2020). The Center is the sole institution authorized to manage arbitration procedures in accordance with the Center's arbitration rules. The arbitration managed by the Centre is categorized as institutional arbitration.

The Center adopts a "moderate management" policy for cases. In specific cases, the Center provides procedural management services throughout the process, starting from the time when the parties start contact with the Secretariat of the Centre to consult and file the case until the final arbitration document is served on the parties. The work of the Secretariat of the Center is to serve arbitrators, parties and other participants in arbitration. In order to ensure the quality and enforceability of the award, the WAC Arbitration Rules also stipulate that the Center has the power to moderately scrutinize the draft arbitral award.
